After sprinting inside a burning animal shelter, a homeless guy was characterized as a “guardian angel.”

Keith Walker put his life in danger to save six dogs and ten cats from the Atlanta animal shelter when a fire broke out in the kitchen.

On December 18, the 53-year-old, who has been homeless since he was 13, didn’t hesitate to rush inside the W-Underdogs shelter to rescue the animals.

He is not going to lie, he was terrified. He was terrified of going in there with all that smoke. But God placed him there to help those creatures, Keith explained.

One can love anyone in the world if one loves a dog. His dog is his best buddy, and he wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for him, therefore he realized he had to help all those other pets.

The fire has rendered W-Underdogs uninhabitable, according to shelter founder Gracie Hamlin.

Keith, she stated, was courageous in rescuing the creatures.

Even the firefighters refused to handle the dogs. They phoned animal control, but Keith was already inside the building, removing the cats and dogs until everyone was secure, Gracie explained.

Gracie previously knew Keith, whom she refers to as her “guardian angel,” since she let him to maintain his own pitbull, Bravo, at the shelter every night.

Keith had stopped on his way to pick up Bravo and take him for a walk when he noticed the fire.

She can’t express how grateful she is to him for protecting her animals, Gracie added. She is still in shock since she’s been around fires and understands how quickly they flare up. He is her inspiration.

Fortunately, the shelter was only one week away from relocating to a new location where the animals currently dwell.

After saving these creatures, this man deserves so much more. He is a true hero.
