If you work in an office what are the odds that a handful of you would become parents at the same time. How about two hand fulls? So get ready you’re about to be babied.
Something must really be in the water at the fire department in Rancho Cucamonga, California. Things are just crazy there. Like that fact that nine of the firefighter’s wives there gave birth to babies at virtually the same time.

This puts the group of men there in quite a league of their own. Yes, brand new babies were born to nine of the firefighters between the months of March and July of this year. That’s nine babies inside of 5 months. And after that, all of those new firefighting daddies had to get together with their newbies for a photo shoot.

The photos were posted on the department’s Facebook page, with the words: “Say hello to Rancho Cucamonga Fire’s newest little family members! Between March and July of this year, nine babies were born in the department, and we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to capture this special moment. We are thrilled to see our RCFD fire family keep growing!”
In one of the photos, the firefighters created a circle by dressing up their baby’s car seats with their own fire coats, showing the department’s letters and each firefighter’s last name. Out of those nine babies, two of them are boys, while seven are girls.

The wife of one of the firefighters, Lindsay Shook, took the photos and they were posted to the fire department’s Facebook page. It’s a post that quickly went viral. In only two days, it had been shared more than a thousand times.
Says Gabrielle Costello, a fire department spokesperson and one of the wives: “I had no idea it would go viral. We just wanted to commemorate a special time and remember the moment.”

Now, did all these firefighters or their wives plan on having one baby after another in such a short amount of time? Not a chance. It was just a huge coincidence.
Says Gabrielle: “It’s brought everyone closer together, not just the nine firefighters, but also the wives. We share tips and sleep schedules and all that kind of new mom stuff.”
And now all the wives have a real bond with each other and have a really good support system with each other.

Adds Gabrielle: “Our husbands work 24-hour shifts. During fire season they are gone for weeks on end. It’s nice to have friends that understand the firefighter lifestyle.”
And, hopefully, they can all stay friends for at least the next 18 years.
