Joshua Fiorelli, an officer from Florida, is a good example that it costs you nothing to be kind.
Carlos Irizzy, while walking his dog, stumbled upon a touching scene. Officer Fiorelli found an injured dog that had been hit by a car.
Often, dogs in pain act aggressively in an attempt to defend themselves. However, this sweet dog behaved quite calmly. She just needed comfort.
The officer, to comfort her, took off his jacket and wrapped the dog in it.
The passer-by, seeing this, was touched and decided to photograph this moment. He said it’s not something you see every day.
Officer Fiorelli continued to comfort and pet the dog until help arrived.
He said the dog was wet, and it was cold outside, and he just couldn’t leave her alone. She was alone and completely unprotected.
When help arrived, the dog was taken to the nearest shelter, where she is undergoing treatment.
She needs to be operated on, and the shelter staff are confident that she will recover very quickly.
However, they were unable to find the microchip. So she will be kept at the shelter until the owners are found.
The officer is very happy that everything is fine with the dog and strongly recommends that all owners have their pets microchipped.
After all, they may just be a part of your life, but you are their whole life.
A photo of a touching moment between a kind officer and a wounded dog has gone viral.
And the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office praised the officer for his excellent service with care and compassion.
