It was worth bearing the burden.

After committing to a rigorous fitness and nutrition routine for the last four years, a reality TV personality who used to weigh an astounding 845 pounds has lost over two-thirds of his body weight.

Casey King, who is now 38 years old, had bariatric surgery in the year 2019, and the operation assisted him throughout his struggle to lose weight, which resulted in his losing a total of 600 pounds.

The native of Georgia had an appearance on the TLC reality series “Family By the Ton” in the same year, during which he was videotaped nude since all of his garments were too constricting and tight for him to move freely in them.

“I will just eat till I’m dead,” King remarked on the program. “A normal day for me is to wake up around twelve in the morning and figure out something I am going to eat immediately, [and then] TV, video games, and bed.” There isn’t a whole lot going on here.”

King said in the series that he had always been a “big kid,” reaching a weight of 300 pounds by the time he graduated from high school. After graduating, he started working in restaurants and began increasing the amount of food he consumed. After a few more years, he gave up his job and moved in with his father, where his weight continued to skyrocket until it reached an amazing 845 pounds.

The enormous weight increase made it difficult for him to participate in tasks that were formerly second nature, such as taking a shower. Because King was too large to fit into a standard-sized shower or bathtub, his father had him bathe in an open-air trough that was located on the back deck of the family home.

“Because I am a bigger guy with folds and flaps, I have to move around, almost like a pig in a way, and wallow and roll over to get the back of my leg. This is because I am a bigger guy.” It requires me to peel back figurative and physical parts of my skin. King was quoted as saying that the procedure was quite challenging.

He also revealed that he had to ask his father for assistance in wiping his bottom since he was unable to reach all the way around to that part of his body.

He frankly said on the reality program that he needed his assistance a little bit to clean himself, you know, wiping only his a because he couldn’t reach anything on his back and he couldn’t reach everything below him. “I need his help a little bit to clean myself,” he said.

During the course of the show, he first spoke with the renowned surgeon Dr. Charles Procter Jr., who informed him that he would need to shed several pounds on his own prior to having bariatric surgery.

King’s mother kicked up the process of weight reduction for her son by placing him on a diet that was healthier and encouraging him to exercise his large physique.

In the episode, he cracked a joke by saying that his family likes to joke that his mother is a drill sergeant. “She is just more controlling with what I’m eating, how much I’m eating, and she is so rigorous with my diet that there are moments when I consider breaking the rules. I do not take any pride in it. Dieting stinks.”

In the end, King had a procedure called a vertical sleeve gastrectomy performed on him to minimize the side of his stomach. This shrunk his stomach “from the size of a basketball to the size of a racquetball” and led to his eating less.

After undergoing the procedure, he went from weighing 700 pounds to 631 pounds, and he maintained the weight reduction regimen he had been following for the previous four years.

On his Instagram profile, where he has amassed more than 38,000 followers who are enamored with his remarkable physical change, King has been transparent about his road to better health.

King was able to go off unemployment benefits in the end, and for the last three years, he has been employed at Home Depot, where he finds that his position helps him keep active.

On his 37th birthday, in November 2021, King shared on social media that he had lost a total of 255 pounds.

“I’m the healthiest I’ve been since high school. I’m the happiest I’ve been since forever. And I don’t know if I’ve ever felt more or loved myself more,” he said in the caption of the photo he posted on Instagram. “I’m the happiest I’ve been since forever.” “I am only five pounds away from a weight that I have never in my life even considered imaginable, let alone possible.”

The motivational personality even has an Instagram highlight reel that provides all of the weight-loss ideas for anybody who may need help, like avoiding sugary beverages and drinking water throughout the day.

He also claims that the most important aspect of his diet is concentrating on the protein that isn’t fried or covered in marinades that are heavy in sugar.

“Finding options that are good for you is not all that difficult. It’s not even close to being hard. You simply need to have some common sense,” King advised his supporters.

“You should try to keep yourself as busy as you possibly can. Introduce some kind of action into everything. Find an activity that you’re interested in doing so that you can stay active, he said. I just become interested in hiking, and I’ve always liked jogging, so I engage in activities of this nature. Do whatever it is that helps you the most.”
